Digital retinal imaging at Dr. Wexler's office has significantly helped contribute to the accurate diagnosis of many different hidden diseases and abnormalities of the retina and allowed for efficient and accurate treatment plans for our patients. Only symptoms noticed were some spots in the vision one month prior to exam. {---Advanced Diabetes of the retina. Imaging captures unwanted new blood vessel growth extending away from the retina. {---Arteriosclerosis of the arteries. Patient is at risk of a retinal stroke. Common risk factors include age, high blood pressure, cholesterol and smoking.
